Hymans Robertson named UK Stewardship Code signatory
07 Sep 2022
Hymans Robertson is pleased to have been listed as a signatory to the UK Stewardship Code for a second year. The acceptance of the leading pensions and financial services firm onto the list marks its continued commitment to advancing the importance of stewardship on client agendas, along with their stewardship capabilities.
Each year, the Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC) Stewardship Code asks firms in the financial services industry, that aspire to demonstrate high quality stewardship, to outline their activities and outcomes over the preceding 12 months.
Explaining the importance to the firm of continuing as a signatory, Olivia Mooney, Responsible Investment Consultant and Stewardship Lead at Hymans Robertson says:
“We’re very pleased to have again been confirmed as a signatory to the UK Stewardship Code. Each of the organisations listed has demonstrated their commitment to stewardship through their day-to-day activities and the outcomes they have achieved.
“The use of stewardship by clients and their managers is increasingly being recognised as key in the development of long-term approaches that not only deliver sustainable value but, also address climate issues, and ultimately the transition towards more sustainable economic activities.
“Over the last 12 months we’ve updated our stewardship guidance, tools for clients and expanded our team in recognition that effective stewardship demands resource. And we will continue to build on this to ensure that high-quality, well-resourced stewardship becomes the norm.”
