  • CDI - cashflow driven investing: This is a type of strategy which involves investing in assets that are expected to generate cashflows to meet benefit payment.

  • LDI - liability driven investing: This is a type of strategy where assets are held to reduce funding level volatility by minimising interest rate and inflation risk associated with pension scheme liabilities.

  • ESG - environmental, social and governance

  • B&M - buy and maintain

  • EMD - emerging market debt

  • ABS - asset backed securities
