Hymans Robertson promotes six to Partner

Hymans Robertson, the leading independent pensions and financial services consultancy, has promoted six colleagues to Partner. They become Partner at a time of growth for the firm which now has over 1100 employees.

Those newly promoted to Partner are Laura Blackwood, Robert McInroy, Samer Hafiz, Simon Mortimer, Shirley Brown and Victoria Rolfe.

Commenting on the latest Partner promotions across the firm, John Dickson, Senior Partner, Hymans Robertson said:

They represent a diversity of backgrounds, skills and expertise that will support our strategy and continued growth across the firm, from Pensions, Insurance and Financial Services through to our Digital expertise.”

The new Partners are:

Shirley Brown (Operations Lead, TPA)

Shirley joined Hymans in 2019 as the Third Party Administrator (TPA) Operations Leader and plays a key role within the leadership team. Shirley has been involved in adapting the firm’s operating model to ensure continued quality service, as the TPA business continues to grow, and we emerge from the pandemic into an increasingly digital world. Shirley is based in the Glasgow office.

Laura Blackwood (Operations and People Lead, Digital)

Laura has been at Hymans for over 13 years and joined the firm as a graduate trainee with the Actuarial team. Over the last five years Laura has been based in the Insights and Analytics team looking after their operations and people, with a special focus on diversity and inclusion. Laura is based in the Glasgow office.

Samer Hafiz (Head of Operational Risk, Private Sector Actuarial Service)

Samer joined the firm as a graduate trainee in 1999 and leads on PPF consulting and company accounting issues as well as any emerging professional or technical issues. He is the Chair of the firm’s Actuarial Risk Group and a Scheme Actuary. Samer is based in the London office.

Simon Mortimer (Chief Digital Officer)

Simon has been at Hymans Robertson since 2020. He is the Chief Digital Officer and oversees the technology and software for the firm. Simon is on the management board and plays a key role in supporting the firm’s culture as it grows. Simon is based in the London office.

Robert McInroy (Head of Clients and Markets, LGPS)

Robert joined Hymans Robertson in 2007 and is based in the firm’s Glasgow office. Alongside his role as Fund Actuary to a number of LGPS Funds, Robert is currently Head of Clients and Markets, leading our public sector commercial strategy and supporting exceptional client service.

Victoria Rolfe (Propositions Lead, Private Sector Actuarial Service)

Victoria joined the firm thirteen years ago as a graduate within the Actuarial Private team and has worked in several different roles across the business area. Victoria currently leads on IRM and funding and is a people leader and Scheme Actuary. Victoria is based in the firm’s London office.
