Overview
Andrew is Head of Insurance Strategy in our UK Insurance & Financial Services practice, working across all areas of the business.
Andrew qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2009 and has 20 years of industry experience across a range of technical, commercial and project roles. His experience covers financial reporting, capital modelling, with-profits, M&A, court schemes (Part VII and Part 26), bulk annuities, product development and product pricing.
Prior to joining Hymans Robertson, he was at Royal London, the UK’s largest mutual insurer, where he held a series of senior leadership roles and led the successful delivery of a series of major strategic transformation projects. These projects included a court scheme to buy-out ‘guaranteed annuity rate’ guarantees, the restructuring and simplification of the company’s with-profits business and the acquisition and subsequent Part VII transfer of Aegon’s protection book to Royal London – in each case securing the necessary board, court and regulatory approvals.
