Overview
Barry is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. He is an actuary for a variety of Local Government Pension Scheme funds and advises on funding strategy and risk management.
He also provides support to employers within the LGPS and advises other public sector pension arrangements, including the Police Pension Scheme and the Firefighters' Pension Scheme.
Barry is the quality assurance lead for the Hymans Robertson public sector team and sits on the firm’s Professionalism Oversight Group ensuring quality standards are met throughout the team and wider firm. Barry also has significant previous experience as a Scheme Actuary to private sector occupational pension schemes. He prides himself on providing high quality, user friendly advice in the most efficient way possible.
