Overview
David is a Partner and risk modelling actuary who is heavily involved in a variety of risk management projects, including asset liability modelling, longevity risk transfers and accumulation and decumulation modelling.
David is also responsible for the development of several of our in-house models, as well as taking a wider model validation and advisory role for clients.
Recently David’s role at Hymans has included leading the team responsible for developing the model underpinning Guided Outcomes™, Hymans’ defined contribution guidance proposition, as well as designing robo-advice style propositions in the decumulation space. These projects allowed David to use his strong technical modelling, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Prior to joining the Insights and Analytics practice David had roles in both the investment and actuarial practices at Hymans, where he supported senior consultants in the delivery of client advice as well as working on product and model development. He was also seconded to HM Treasury to work as a policy analyst on the Independent Public Service Pensions Commission, where he was responsible for researching and preparing policy papers, briefing the chair of the commission and drafting sections of its final report.
