Overview
Julie is a Fund Actuary and has provided advice to advice and support to LGPS Funds since 2008. She advises on all aspects of LGPS pensions funding, with a particular focus on funding issues for academies and colleges.
She joined Hymans Robertson in 2022 from the Barnett Waddingham LLP where she qualified as an actuary in 2015, having previously completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics.
Julie uses her extensive knowledge of the LGPS regulations and landscape to provide advice that is both comprehensive and easy to understand. She leads on our provision of advice and operational support to LGPS funds offering enhanced risk-management through employer investment strategies.
As our representative in the Society of Pension Professionals Public Sector Group, a regular contributor to our own articles and briefing notes, and an assistant examiner with the IFoA, Julie contributes widely to both the LGPS and actuarial communities.
