Overview
Michael provides strategic risk transfer advice to trustees and sponsors of many of the UK’s largest DB pension schemes and has led over £25bn of buy-ins. These include a number of the largest buy-ins to date.
He previously ran Prudential’s (now M&G) bulk annuity business and the largest part of Legal & General’s bulk annuity business, so has deep insights into how insurers operate from Board level to pricing teams. He is also an industry expert on insurance regulatory developments and their impact on pension schemes.
Michael is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
