It's been nearly six months since the Pensions Regulator’s (TPR) General Code of Practice came into force. Join our webinar on 27 September, where our governance experts will discuss:

• What has happened since this date.
• What themes, insights and issues we have uncovered while working with LGPS funds.
• What TPR expects from the pensions industry, and what this means for LGPS funds now and in the future.

Michael Burton, formerly of East Sussex Pension Fund and TPR, has recently joined our Governance team and will also join us to provide his views on the General Code and his advice for LGPS funds right now.

• How LGPS funds have approached their General Code self-assessment, including the timescale, effort and output from that work.
• The insights our governance team has uncovered in the last six months working with LGPS funds.
• What a TPR visit could mean for your Fund and how to be prepared.

TPR's initial communication was for LGPS funds to assess themselves against the General Code within the first six months of it being published, or, at a minimum, to have scheduled in when this work will take place. This webinar will describe what funds have done so far and outline what support is available for your team.

With so many interested eyes on the governance and functions of our LGPS funds, a continued demonstration of best practice with these TPR requirements is crucially important.
